SFI is in my opinion one of the best affiliate programs online. Unfortunately, when someone searches Google for information about the company owner, Gery Carson, they get presented with a link to some serious and negative allegations.

These allegations are false, and at one point claim that Gery also goes by the name Billy. Hogwash, I have known Gery Carson since 1988 and he has never went by any other name than Gerald or Gery. I also worked as an employee for this gentleman and he is the best employer I have ever had. I have worked for the State of Nebraska and they aren’t nearly as diplomatic as Gery is.

Why It’s Important To Advertise Your Affiliate Programs

There are several reasons why someone is successful in an affiliate program. It may be that their choice of affiliate program is just right to fit their personality and their interests. It may be the compensation program of the program itself. It may be the matter of being in the right place at the right time.

But the biggest factor to affiliate program success in my opinion is a matter of promotion and marketing. To do so you have to advertise. How you advertise is a matter of both your preference and your budget. It is also important to track from which advertising sources where you get the best results. If you post several times at one place and constantly get about 5 to 10 new referrals every time you advertise there then this is a place that you should continue to place your time into or if it is a paid advertising site a place to put your advertising budget into.

If you constantly advertise using paid advertising and get 0-1 referrals or customers then it is time to quit advertising with that source. Or it is time to change your ad? Sometimes a simple tweak to the wording of an ad will cause dramatic increases in response.

There are several ways to advertise your affiliate marketing program to get referrals or to sell products. A few of the free methods include:

Surf and Start Pages
Safelists
Article Marketing
Sites that allow you to earn credits by clicking on emails or advertised sites (With some of these you can even earn an income)
Free Classified Ad Sites

Now all of these will allow you to pay them for even more advertising or for extra advertising credits but you may also want to check into such paid alternatives as:

Ezine Advertising
or such offline methods as Magazine Advertising or Postcard Mailings.

These are just a few of the several ways in which you can promote affiliate programs that you are associated with. The purpose of this post was mainly to let you know what happens if you don’t advertise and the answer to that is nothing. Participate In Ecommerce and Save the Economy

The economy is in a recession. The world and many individuals are having financial woes. However, I am a firm believer that ultimately we are in charge of the fate of the economy. The economy is a circle that must be fed. If people do not contribute to it then there is nothing to be returned to the people.

There is a way out. It is in committing to starting your own e-commerce business with a company that has products that you can use and then earning from the company.
